Open in 1984, it is a great option for visitors who are interested in a quiet space, in direct contact with nature, without travelling a long distance from Havana. Here you can admire different species of plants from all over the world in an area of 2353 m2. The garden has an indoor section with three pavilions of 9 meters high, were you can find more than 600 kinds of plants.

Among visitors it is very popular the Japanese Garden, built in1989, with 5 hectares of autochthones Japanese flora. An important characteristic of this Japanese garden is that you can admire the whole area from any point. The garden is decorated with a small lake with big gold fish and a small cascade.

This Botanical garden has professional guide services and transportation in order to visit the different areas inside of it. You can also enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch in the eco- restaurant called “El Bambu”, inside of the garden, and buy souvenirs and books from specialized literature.
